The Scarlet Thread

The Scarlet Thread is a single-player point-and-click mystery set in a Victorian manor, presented in 1-bit ink-style visuals with touches of scarlet. The case unfolds through the accounts and journals of several narrators. Players inspect objects, compare clothing and ledgers, check tides and moon phases, and connect evidence on deduction boards. Re-enactments and a tabletop model allow them to test routes, lighting, and what a witness could have seen. Revisiting earlier records with new evidence reveals the limits of both unreliable and truthful accounts, while the evidence retained and choices made affect the ending.
