The Grand Tournament is Hearthstone's second expansion, launched August 24th, 2015. With more than 130 new cards, the expansion features a strong theme of Hero Power-related effects, as well as seeing the introduction of the first full new keyword since the game's release - Inspire - allowing minions to grant special effects each time the player uses their Hero Power. It also introduced a new non-keyword mechanic, Joust.

STORYLINE
When the Lich King and his undead Scourge threatened the world, the Argent Crusade called upon Azerothโs mightiest heroes to prove their mettle in a magnificent tournament. Knights of all races flocked to Northrend, vying for glory in epic battles against fearsome monsters. Though the Lich Kingโs evil has been vanquished, the Grand Tournament continuesโฆ the competitive atmosphereโs just a bit more playful than it used to be. And why shouldnโt the show go on?
