Restricted Airspace

Restricted Airspace is a single player shoot em up in the style of Star Fox for the SNES. It takes place in a city made from an amalgamation of the old Ottoman buildings the developer grew up with in Beirut. Upon the game's initial release, the city was under devastating attack and all players could do was delay the unavoidable before the city inevitably fell. After the 2020 explosion of a port in Beirut, the developer updated the game, removing enemies and turning it into a peaceful flying simulator.
